„Archipelagoes of the Heart“ traces the evolving relationship between motherhood, artistic practice, and ecological consciousness. A journey to Patagonia becomes an intimate turning inward, as filmmaker Annika Gutsche is forced to weave her two-year-old child into the fabric of her creative process. Initially felt as a constraint, motherhood gradually becomes a catalyst - redefining not only her artistic vision, but also her understanding of care, time, and legacy. Personal footage meets poetic reflection in a film that blurs the line between the personal and the cinematic. In tender gestures and raw, everyday moments, „Archipelagoes of the Heart“ asks: How does one keep creating while being intimately bound to the rhythms and needs of another human being? And how does the act of mothering reshape the way we imagine - and fight for - the future?
