vcitory was “an exhibition on the occasion of the current situation” initiated, curated and realised by my friend Judith Milz and me the week Donald Trump became the president of the United States of America.
After the arrival of that which we had hoped not to arrive, we needed room to digest and reflect, we did not want to be alone and we were not the only ones. The exhibition, quickly set up and taken down within on day in my living room, showed art works from several fellow artists, many of them produced exclusively for the one-afternoon-show. More and more people rang at the door and everyone seemed a little ghostly and utterly puzzled about the new world situation.
I produced two works for the exhibition: Trumpkekse and Wisewords Balloons. Trumpfkekse were fortune cookies with Trump quotes that could be eaten by the visitors. Wisewords Balloons were postcards printed from Ivanka Trump’s blog and attached to helium balloons and they could be purchased for the price of 1€. Those which hadn’t been purchased were disposed of through the window at the end of the day.
